LUXURY ISLAND HOSPITALITY PROJECT

Nurai Island, Abu Dhabi, UAE

International sourcing and procurement support

Aerial view of Nurai Island, Abu Dhabi

Project Context

Lamar supported the sourcing process for a luxury island-hospitality project where the procurement strategy needed to protect design intent while accounting for supplier capability, lead times, product durability, and the operational realities of a remote island destination.

This was a complete, multi-category engagement — the scope covered FF&E, decorative lighting, sanitaryware, natural stone, tile, bespoke joinery and architectural metalwork, sourced and coordinated under one procurement process.

Scope of Support

  • Reviewing the available BOQ, specification schedules, drawings, and finish information
  • Translating the design and technical requirements into a structured sourcing brief
  • Identifying suitable manufacturers and specialist suppliers across relevant international markets
  • Assessing supplier capability against material, finish, workmanship, capacity, lead-time, and commercial requirements
  • Preparing a comparable quotation matrix for decision-making
  • Coordinating technical clarifications, samples, finish approvals, and supplier submittals
  • Supporting commercial discussions around pricing, minimum order quantities, payment terms, packaging, and delivery requirements

Technical & Commercial Controls

For each priority package, the sourcing process focused on more than unit price. Supplier options were assessed against:

  • Specification compliance and approved material/finish requirements
  • Shop drawings, technical data sheets, and sample approval process
  • Manufacturing capacity and production critical path
  • MOQ, prototype or mock-up requirements, and replacement-order capability
  • Quality-control checkpoints before dispatch
  • Export packaging suitable for fragile, high-value, or moisture-sensitive products
  • Incoterms, consolidation requirements, freight coordination, and delivery sequencing
  • Warranty, spare-parts, and post-delivery support requirements

Outcome

The project team received a more controlled sourcing route: a focused supplier shortlist, clearer commercial comparison, improved visibility on lead-time risk, and a documented basis for package-level procurement decisions.

Specific client, budget, supplier, and product-package details remain confidential.

LUXURY HOSPITALITY PROJECT

Palmon Bay, Montenegro

Supplier evaluation and multi-category sourcing support

Palmon Bay poolside and waterfront, Montenegro

Project Context

Lamar supported a luxury hospitality project in Montenegro requiring a design-led procurement approach across the complete material scope — FF&E, decorative lighting, sanitaryware, natural stone, tile, bespoke joinery and architectural metalwork. The project required international sourcing options that could meet the required quality level while remaining commercially and operationally viable for the programme.

Scope of Support

Lamar helped structure the procurement process from early requirement definition through supplier evaluation. This included:

  • Reviewing the available project documentation and design brief
  • Breaking the requirement into clear sourcing packages and priority categories
  • Identifying suppliers and specialist brands suited to the project's design direction and budget level
  • Seeking comparable quotations and clarifying inclusions, exclusions, lead times, and technical assumptions
  • Evaluating material options, finishes, fabrication approach, and supplier production capability
  • Supporting sample, mock-up, and technical-submittal coordination where required
  • Identifying commercial and delivery risks before supplier selection

Technical & Commercial Controls

The evaluation process considered:

  • Product dimensions, material specifications, finishes, and tolerances
  • Compliance with project drawings and design intent
  • Durability and suitability for hospitality use
  • Production duration, approval lead times, and order-critical dates
  • Supplier quality-control process and pre-shipment inspection requirements
  • Export packing, transport protection, and destination logistics
  • Currency, payment milestones, Incoterms, warranty, and replacement provisions

Outcome

The project team gained a structured view of the available sourcing options rather than relying on isolated supplier quotations. This enabled more informed package decisions based on capability, quality, commercial value, lead time, and delivery risk.

Project, client, supplier, and commercial details remain confidential.
